Perplexing

A stash of images by this prolific chap, who seems to take other people's photos and then process them in some mysterious way:

The result are strange, other-worldly pictures.

There seems to be some internal consistency, some driving logic, but it is completely opaque.

Er... this next one is by someone else entirely and is just here because it seems to fit and I really, really like it...

Some of his images seem to involve monks, others more Classical subjects, and then there are these which I find unclassifiable:

... well, I'm not sure what it forms, but it's intriguing and entertaining. Nice stuff.
