Randomity

I am loving everything about this utterly delightful pair of images:

Though I'm particularly taken with the sun shining on the leg hairs:

While this next image is a gloriously witty homage to the famous Spiderman kiss:

Incidentally, how are you liking the experimental "once a week" posting that I'm currently doing? It's in response to many of you saying you don't want this blog to end, so would I mind carrying on but less frequently.

I have to say, it feels complete pants to me. I should either be posting often, or not at all. Currently I'm minded to go back to the several-times-on-most-days format, until this blog is full -- to go out in a brief blaze of glory rather than this interminable dribble.

Any views?

I vote for the Interminable Dribble please!
'Everything in Moderation' suits so much nicer than 'Cold Turkey' :)

It's like a deathbed, this slow-motion system. Please go back to daily.

Hi Rob: maybe that's the problem -- nothing on this blog is about moderation (except the size of the winkies). It's a cultural mis-match.

Anonymous: I'm inclined to agree. It feels like tumbleweed is blowing through here...

My vote's for Blaze of Glory.

I look at your Blog every day and became quite alarmed that nothing new had been posted for a week. Usually you have given your readers notice of trips to Kings Lynn etc. I feared you might be ill.
Back to frequent postings say I.

I stopped smoking cold turkey, I can quit Adventures cold turkey, I suppose, too. But Bollocks, it's hard.

It's the end of your blogging, do as you wish. I will miss you in any case.

A top notch blog such as this so post as often as possible. I just love the 'winkies', the trains the now and then political comments, and the buildings and scenes. Do it as often as possible (posting and other things), I look forward to seeing your blog every day.

I, for one, is looking in at your blog almost everyday and I would miss it if you close it down. So, please continue with the blog :)

Now wait, didn't you say that one of your six previous blogs had been deleted by The Authorities? Doesn't that leave you a whole fresh new unwrapped, still-in-the-package virgin blog to do after this one? (Hey, for some of us "wishful thinking" isn't an aberration, it's a career.)

I wondered what was going on with the lack of postings.
If you post regularly what will happen when you stop? Will there be intense withdrawal symptoms akin to a drug user - or will you, as we are all hoping, find a way to continue. Where will you find your outlet for your views, news and muse-ings?
Can't you set up a paypal account so we can donate a small amount each to keep this going?
Even without the willies, there is so much to enjoy and discover. I say cut the willies and keep the trains if it means the blog can continue.

Please continue - you know you'd miss it if you stopped, and so would all of us. I must say the week's unannounced silence came as a shock and not only did I mail you but I almost sent out a search party lest you'd been mugged or worse... How about just posting when you're moved to: every single day must be feeling like an obligation, but a regular weekly post would in itself become an obligation. So I suggest you post as often as you feel like it, and for myself I hope that's frequently!

Once a week is not really the same. If you don't want to finish your blogging, you could always returned to one of your older blog, clear it and continue.... but don't do something your not comfortable with just to let this blog live a little more.

The sun on the leg and chest air in the first to images is beautiful.

It is a pleasrue to check here and find a new post even if it is just once a week. Finding none at all will be even worse.

Its your blog, my dear Duke. You must treat it in the way that gives you most reward.
We will get our joy either way.
Speaking of which, I do like the peeking winkie ... subtle! :-)

This blog shows us you as a whole person with the trains, castles, bridges etc including your love for all types of men. I check it everyday and am amazed at how much work you produce. It is always welcome. I would miss you terribly if you just disappear. Maybe a high tea once in a while with you would work.

hi ya, PLEASE keep this going, love all your postings, enjoy the pic's n comments on your visits to Kings Lynn, (have friends in norfolk i visit as often as i can from here in melbourne / australia.
would rather more often than weekly
but whatever you can do is good. also look here daily.

So did making youself only post once a week make you think it might be difficult stopping completely, forever, never to post again, even when you get the most spectacular potential post you are just longing to share? Anyway, to answer your question, you obviously have to do whatever feels right for you. Personally, I found it quite sad and disappointing to keep checking in and finding no update but equally if I knew it was only going to be once a week and the alternative was no posts ever at all, ever again then I know which I'd prefer but then it just won't work unless it works for you, will it? Actually I felt no burning need to post in the intermission. There are other obsessions in my life which can be all-consuming!

No, this is just a question of how we want to end this blog (and, indeed, all my blogging -- thanks for the kind comments and flattery but this really will be the last blog. The only question is how we end it).

I think I'm going back to Blitzkreig posting until it's all over bar the shouting, the tears and the recriminations. Yeah, that feels right.

End with some yummy liscious nudes of Prince Harry, including his royal wand.

You're going to leave us whether we like it or not, so you may as well go out with a bang rather than a whimper.
It's like being on death row. We know its got to happen so why draw it out unnecessarily.
We will savor every bit of this last blog knowing that it will be the last, so give it you're very best I say!
It feels like the end of an era.
I really don't know where I'll turn Mr Leduc! Thank you for the years!

Prince Harry, definitely Prince Harry.
Go out with a bang I say but f*** me this is going to be hard. Can you suggest another blog like yours but not as good we can go to? Or dammit, just keep blogging! When is it going to end? Any ideas? Thanks!

Is a weekly blog enough? No it isn't - thanks for asking, but at least you're not enjoying yourself on semi-permanent trips away, which was my first concern. I only discovered the fabulous London WNBR thanks to you. My photos this year were rubbish, the Brighton ride was a washout, my Pride photos weren't much better and I've recently been haunted by an old image involving semen and hundreds and thousands which I'm sure you were responsible for finding but can't remember the site it came from. Your rant on why you wouldn't re-do your kitchen some time ago could have almost been a mind reading exercise.... Frankly I'm shocked that you think it's an option to end your blog at all!
P.S. I hope you appreciate how much pleasure your blog has been. Thank you.

You can end by naming a successor - a blog we can turn to for our fix of intelligence and smut.

I was sorry to learn that your blog will finish, LeDuc. It's been fun reading your comments about men, trains and politics. As Spike said, it's your blog and you must deal with it to the benefit of yourself (and time). So, to borrow from Hamlet: alas poor blog; I was getting to know him well! Best wishes.

Love your blog. I would hate to see it end, so if posting less freguently works for you and will allow you to continue, that sounds great to me. Love looking at the British trains from Southern California.
