I just thought I ought to warn you that I've now used 30% of the photo allowance for this blog.
We're heading inexorably closer to the death of my blogging habit. It's coming. Can you feel it?

Trains, films, architecture, my photography, and interminable pictures of small winkies. A veritable snack. And all for the positively very last time. Enjoy it while you can.

Why is it not possible just to create a new google profile? Couldn't you just become La Duchesse, (say) and keep up the good work? Obviously you can't, or you would, but what I don't get is how they would know?
It's a very sad prospect indeed, almost too grim to contemplate. Could you perhaps keep up your blog but update it less often? It must take up an awful lot of your time to do it as generously as you've been doing
I'm sure all your loyal followers would be devastated if you were disappear into oblivion
aww, sad. i'll miss you.
That was a terrible idea. It's been the salt of the afternoon to see what you have published. Please, do not leave us!
Try TUMBLR
No, no. We must find a way. There's just no avoiding that.
I second the tumblr comment
An absolute big fat "NO!" to tumblr.
I hate the look of tumblr sites, I particularly hate that never-ending scrolling thing many of them do, and I hate the dumbed-down feel to it, as if text is to be avoided. I want both pictures AND words.
Anyway, the point of my post was not to encourage you all to say how much you love me, and how you don't want me to stop blogging (kind of you though that is) since the decision has already been made.
I'm just trying to gently wean you off me so that, when I do stop blogging, it doesn't come as too much of a shock to your fragile minds...
But thanks anyway for the nice comments: praise is always very welcome indeed!
Awww :-(
It feels like the end of an era is approaching.
All sad and empty with no more of your blog fun to look forward to.
I suppose all good things must come to an end.
It's a shame because clearly you have a talent for it.
But if the end is really nigh, then all I can say is thank you for all the hours you've put in.
I hope you have enjoyed creating the blogs am much as we have all enjoyed reading them.
They will be much missed and remembered with fondness.
I hope you see fit to share your humor, wit, interests and fine taste in men with the world again some day in the future.
Maybe he's just reminding us so we leave all these drooling comments (this one included).
I'm sure there's a way to continue. IF Monsieur LeDuc wishes to.
Ah Monsieur has made up his mind, trust this devoted reader who also happens to know the person behind the masked Duc. In a sense, I second his move. Blogging is a dying art, few have mastered it (like our dear Le Duc), but in the end, like all art periods, it's only fair that it should move on to something new, something better.
This is my challenge to you, Sir. Being the one who, truth be said, first opened up the world of blogging to your fertile mind, I dare say you should close this chapter only if you plan to start a new one that will command an even greater following. And no, I don't mean politics...
Say it's not so! You consistently have had one of the best blogs on the internet; you have so many loyal readers who enjoy your efforts. Please don't stop!!
Ode to LeDuc
Adventures in Beige
Was once all the rage
With it's wit and it's prose
And it's men without clothes.
It's wit and it's wisdom
Fed us our need
For something more cerebral
Than the usual tabloid read.
Nubile young men
Trains old and new
Interesting buildings
To name but a few
But all things end someday
What's left for us to say?
Just to say thanks...
For making us feel good to be gay.
I simply LOVE my ode -- thanks very much indeed!
[Wipes away a small tear from the corner of his eye]
It's still ending, though!
Please don't stop this blog. It really is so great and so unique. The net just does not have many classy sites - yours is one of the very few. There are thousands of sites that feature mutant winkies but so few that feature and cherish the smaller variety.
Take a break if you must, but please come back to us.
Is the photo allowance getting less or are you getting more prolific as you seem to be getting through them quicker and quicker (and I've been following you almost daily since your second blog)? I wonder what life will be like without a daily Leduc fix of accumulated wit and widom. How will I cope? And surely you must be as addicted to it as your followers - will you manage to break the daily habit by going cold turkey? Are you planning some kind of big, dramatic finale? How about one final RIP blog. Thanks for your continued effort by the way, it is very much appreciated.
Of course I can give it up, whenever I want. I'm not an addict. No, sirree.
Then again, if I find the urge overwhelming, I can always start up a new blog with a different persona and none of you will ever know.
[Twirls moustache vigorously.]
Whoooaaaa-ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!
Hehe. Glad you like the ode. For my next trick...
