"Lance" -- or, in fact, David Alan Reis -- was a Californian blond gay boy.
A trawl through web sources suggests he came from an unhappy background, a sad life of foster homes and a low-functioning drug habit. He became an adult movie star and escort, often working with the same partner, Leo Ford.
Lance's Giant Mutant is, of course, far too large for my pleasures, but he had a feeling of louche openness about him that was rather attractive (though, in truth, for me the chap on the left of this next shot is more attention-grabbing than Lance himself):

Those were the days, days of unshaved pubes and a natural "surfer dude" look. Lance was a quintessential man of his times. RIP.

Thanks so much for that, LeDuc. He was indeed stallion-hung but despite his very sad private life he seemed to shine with an innocence and enjoyment which escape us with 20 more years of cynicism under our belts. I used to think he was utterly gorgeous, and I must confess I still do
